A New Castle, Pennsylvania resident has been sentenced to 110 months in federal prison for drug trafficking and firearm possession, as announced by United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan. Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab handed down the sentence to Donald Jeter, 34, who will also serve six years of supervised release following his prison term.

Jeter had previously pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute fentanyl and cocaine between May 2021 and October 2022, and to possessing a firearm on August 10, 2022, after a felony conviction. Federal law prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.

United States Attorney Olshan commended multiple agencies for their roles in the investigation that led to Jeter's prosecution. These agencies include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, United States Postal Inspection Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Lawrence County Drug Task Force, Mercer County Drug Task Force, New Castle Police Department, Sharon Police Department, and Pennsylvania State Police.
