The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 without linebacker Alex Highsmith, who is sidelined due to an ankle injury. This leaves a gap in their defense, which Nick Herbig and Preston Smith are expected to fill.

Herbig returns to the field after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for four games. "I feel good," Herbig stated. "I'm excited. I just want to play with my boys." Despite the challenge of missing games, Herbig maintained a positive outlook, focusing on preparation and mental readiness.

Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin commented on the adjustments needed with Highsmith's absence but remained confident in the team's flexibility and preparedness. "You'll have to come in Sunday and see how it works out," Austin said about deploying Herbig and Smith against the Ravens.

Austin praised Smith's adaptability since joining from the Green Bay Packers last week. "He's a veteran that doesn't need a lot of reps," Austin noted, emphasizing Smith's understanding of their system.
