Pittsburgh Review

A resident of Arnold, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 132 months in prison, followed by six years of supervised release, for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The announcement was made by United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan.

Senior United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson imposed the sentence on Milton Paschal, 44.

According to information presented to the Court, from September 2021 to March 2023, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Paschal conspired with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of a mixture and substance containing cocaine. Additionally, in December 2022, Paschal possessed with intent to distribute a quantity of a mixture and substance containing cocaine. Paschal was intercepted on a federal wiretap obtaining quantities of cocaine that he distributed to others.

Assistant United States Attorney Arnold P. Bernard Jr. prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

United States Attorney Olshan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Laurel Highlands Resident Agency and Homeland Security Investigations for their role in the investigation that led to Paschal's prosecution. Additional agencies participating in this investigation included the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation, United States Postal Inspection Service, and other local law enforcement agencies.

This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle high-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations threatening the United States through a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven approach leveraging federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.
