Cost of college went up for all students at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science Inc

Tuition and fees rose 4.7 percent for 2018-19 at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science Inc, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $23,165 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,040 more than the $22,125 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 46 students received grants or scholarships totaling $114,641 and 54 students took out student loans totaling more than $430,431.

Including all undergraduates (217), 142 students used grants or scholarships totaling $665,540, and 205 students took out $1.9 million in federal student loans.
