The Pittsburgh Steelers' 2024 season saw significant contributions from their specialists, with Chris Boswell standing out as a key performer. The veteran kicker had an exceptional year, making 41 of 44 field goals, the second-most in a single NFL season. His performance earned him first-team All-Pro honors and placed him fourth in NFL history for career field goal percentage at over 88 percent. He also leads the league in field goal percentage from beyond 50 yards among players with 50 or more attempts.

Cameron Johnston was signed to improve the team's punting game but suffered a serious leg injury after just one game. Corliss Waitman stepped in and averaged 46.4 yards per punt, contributing to the Steelers ranking sixth in lowest punt return average.

Christian Kuntz completed his fourth season as long-snapper and received several All-Pro votes for his performance. Miles Killebrew and James Pierre also garnered All-Pro votes, highlighting the strength of the special teams unit.

The team blocked three kicks during the season, with contributions from Jeremiah Moon, Isaiahh Loudermilk, and Dean Lowry. Calvin Austin III handled punt returns effectively, finishing seventh in the NFL with a 10.3-yard average and scoring a touchdown on a 73-yard return.

Kick return duties were primarily managed by Cordarrelle Patterson and Jaylen Warren, though this area showed room for improvement under new Dynamic Kickoff rules.
