The Pittsburgh Penguins are set to conclude their three-game road trip with a match against the Minnesota Wild. The game is scheduled for 3:30 PM Eastern time at Xcel Energy Center and will be broadcast on SportsNet Pittsburgh, TNT, and Max. Fans can also listen via 105.9 the X and the Penguins app.

Currently, the Penguins hold a record of 24-31-10, while the Wild stand at 36-23-4. Historically, Pittsburgh has performed well against Minnesota, securing points in 10 of their last 12 encounters (9-2-1) and winning four out of their last five games at Xcel Energy Center since December 31, 2018.

Recent team updates include several new additions following a busy trade deadline period led by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas. Notable acquisitions are defenseman Conor Timmins from Toronto Maple Leafs and forward Connor Dewar from both Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies. Other new faces include Chase Stillman from Utica Comets and Max Graham from Kelowna Rockets.

Pittsburgh now holds an impressive number of draft picks over the next three NHL Drafts—30 in total—including four first-round selections.

Head Coach Mike Sullivan is on the brink of making history as he approaches his 400th win with one franchise—a feat achieved by only 13 other head coaches in NHL history.

Bryan Rust will play his 622nd game as a Penguin today, surpassing Ron Stackhouse for ninth-most games played in franchise history. Rickard Rakell aims to reach his third career milestone of scoring 30 goals this season; he has been effective against Minnesota with a notable goal-scoring record.

Sidney Crosby's performance against Minnesota stands out historically, ranking third in points-per-game production against them in NHL history (minimum ten games played). Erik Karlsson also boasts strong statistics against Minnesota among defensemen.

Quick highlights reveal Kris Letang's consistent scoring against Minnesota, Evgeni Malkin's productive history versus them, Tommy Novak's performance against his hometown team, and Crosby's collaboration with Malkin leading to an overall strong team record when both score points in a game.
