Beanie Bishop, a professional football player, has been exploring a passion for baking that he developed during his college years at Western Kentucky. Initially, his busy schedule as a student limited the time he could dedicate to this hobby. "I got away from it," Bishop admitted. "Just really didn't have the time for it."

Now with more free time, Bishop has returned to baking and even invested in a Kitchen Aid Professional 600 Mixer to support his culinary endeavors, which he shares under the moniker 'Bakin with Beans.' He describes this activity as an escape from the demands of football: "It's just trying to find ways to get away from football," said Bishop. "I wanted to find something else to do. I got into baking and cooking and things like that."

Bishop is committed to improving his skills by researching recipes online and experimenting with new techniques. He explained, "I find stuff online, for sure... I've been having the time and the resources to be able to do that now."

While baking provides relaxation, it also brings its own set of challenges as Bishop aims for perfection when sharing his creations with teammates. "It's a lot of fun for me; it's an escape," he stated. "But it can be stressful too... It's just making sure of the consistency of the recipe and what I make and that everything is just right for it to come out good."

The feedback from those who have tasted his baked goods has been positive so far. As Bishop noted, "People have said it's good, so that's a good sign." He often brings leftovers to practice sessions where they are well-received.
