Allegheny Health Network (AHN) has announced that AHN Wexford Hospital has been awarded the 2024 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award from Press Ganey in the patient experience category. This marks the second consecutive year that the hospital's inpatient care has received this accolade, and the third consecutive year for recognition by Press Ganey.

Press Ganey is a healthcare company known for measuring and analyzing patient satisfaction through surveys. It supports healthcare organizations in their quality improvement efforts. The Guardian of Excellence Award is presented annually to facilities ranking in the 95th percentile for patient experience among over 41,000 healthcare facilities working with Press Ganey.

Located north of Pittsburgh in Pine Township, AHN Wexford Hospital features 158 inpatient beds and a 24-bed emergency department catering to both adult and pediatric patients. Since its opening in 2021, it has received numerous awards across quality, safety, and patient experience.

The hospital continues to expand its services for nearby communities, offering more convenient care options. Recently launched programs include a minimally invasive spinal surgery program and expanded pediatric services for children with acute medical conditions.

Additionally, AHN Harmar Neighborhood Hospital received the 2024 Guardian of Excellence award for patient experience in the emergency department category. The facility includes a full-service emergency department and a 10-bed inpatient unit for observation and short-stay admissions.

The winners of the 2024 Press Ganey Human Experience Award will be acknowledged at HX25, scheduled from February 3-5, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.
