Rep. Summer Lee, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 12th district, has been vocal on several pressing issues through her social media presence. Her recent tweets address concerns about consumer protection, transgender rights, and census accuracy.

On December 3, 2024, Rep. Summer Lee commented on efforts to eliminate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). She stated, "When you hear people talk about wanting to eliminate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, remember that sketchy corporations like these are who they are protecting."

The following day, December 4, 2024, she highlighted the mental health challenges faced by transgender youth and criticized bans on gender-affirming care. In her tweet, she noted that "41% of trans youth have contemplated suicide in the past year," describing such bans as a threat to lives and calling for solidarity to protect trans communities.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Lee reflected on her experience as a Census Enumerator in 2010 and emphasized the importance of accurate census data for federal programs. She expressed concern over past inaccuracies affecting predominantly Black communities and mentioned asking the current Census Director about improvements: "I asked @censusdirector how he's working to improve the count."
