On February 7, 2025, Rep. Lee tweeted about her visit to the Department of Education to seek answers regarding actions by former President Trump and Elon Musk that she claims aim to dismantle the department. She criticized Republicans for their stance on children's education: "I went to the Dept. of Education to demand answers as Trump & Musk aim to dismantle it."
Later that day, she highlighted the importance of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) like one in Squirrel Hill, which serve over 56,000 people in her district. She expressed concern over a funding freeze attributed to Trump and Musk: "FQHCs...are lifelines for over 56,000 folks in PA-12."
On February 10, 2025, Rep. Lee emphasized Pittsburgh's role as a leader in climate solutions and reiterated her commitment to combating political corruption that hinders progress: "Pittsburgh is a union town...A city leading the way on climate solutions."
