63 percent of applicants to the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science Inc were admitted for fall 2018

At the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science Inc, 61 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 63 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in Pittsburgh enrolled 217 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 3.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

55 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 45 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (88 percent) and Black or African American (6 percent).

The school admitted 63 percent of the 161 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 49 percent enrolled.
