The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced the signing of defenseman Finn Harding to a three-year entry-level contract. The announcement was made by Kyle Dubas, President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.
Harding, aged 20, has been playing as an alternate captain for the Brampton Steelheads in the Ontario Hockey League during the 2024-25 season. In 59 games, he has achieved seven goals and 48 assists, totaling a career-high of 55 points. His assist count is a single-season franchise record for Steelheads defensemen and ranks fifth among all league defensemen. His plus-43 rating is ninth overall in the league and third among defensemen.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Harding has played 190 games with the Steelheads over three seasons from 2022 to 2025. He accumulated 19 goals, 80 assists, and a total of 99 points with a plus-90 rating during this period. In playoff appearances with the Steelheads, he scored one goal and two assists over 11 games.
Pittsburgh originally selected Harding in the seventh round (223rd overall) of the NHL Draft in 2024.
