In a recent Q&A session, several topics surrounding the NFL were discussed, focusing primarily on player performance and league rules. Matthew Johnson from Cashiers, NC inquired about Ben Skowronek's contribution during a game against the Ravens. He was particularly interested in Skowronek's blocking abilities late in the game. Coach Mike Tomlin provided insight into the strategic matchup with Baltimore safety Kyle Hamilton: "You put three wideouts on the field, and they go nickel, and they play (Hamilton) at nickel," said Tomlin.

Drew Pumarejo from Elizabethtown, KY asked if Justin Tucker, Baltimore's placekicker, had ever missed two field goals in one game against the Steelers. The answer confirmed that this has happened once before, during a loss to the Steelers on November 17.

Alan Brammer from Muncie, IN questioned whether rivalry games are intentionally scheduled for Thursday Night Football. It was clarified that while division opponents often face off on Thursdays, there is no specific design for rivalry games alone.

John Curley from Chaptico, MD wanted clarification on an NFL rule regarding receivers maintaining possession after hitting the ground without being touched by a defender. It was confirmed that according to NFL rules, such players can continue running unless touched down by a defensive player.

Stephen Keister from Kinnelon, NJ asked about teams increasing compensation for outstanding players on rookie contracts to build goodwill. It was noted that per the Collective Bargaining Agreement rules, renegotiations cannot occur until after a player's third regular season.

Owen Higgs from Plano, TX questioned whether Steelers Wire is affiliated with the team due to perceived clickbait content. The response indicated that it is not team-sponsored.

Crystal James from Wappingers Falls, NY asked about tiebreakers used if the Steelers and Ravens are tied at season’s end. A detailed list of tiebreakers was provided but emphasized these would only be needed if both teams have identical records beyond head-to-head results.

Fritz Scherz from Verona, NY shared his favorite jersey design worn by the Steelers: "My favorite would be the bumblebee jerseys... because they never failed to elicit a reaction."

John Quinn from Hershey, PA and Chris Galloway from Dallas, TX raised questions about Dan Moore Jr.'s future with the team given his contract situation and value as he approaches free agency. The belief is that Moore might become too costly to retain once he hits free agency.

Ken Waldrop from Ontonagon, MI brought up Donte Jackson's status post-trade involving Diontae Johnson. Jackson will be eligible for unrestricted free agency in March 2025.

Finally, Mike Darrow from Manhattan Beach questioned why penalties not based on judgment calls can't be enforced via review booth intervention. The response highlighted current NFL rules prohibiting instant replay use for penalty enforcement.
