Linebacker Patrick Queen took advantage of the Steelers' bye week to rest and recharge. "It was a chance to reset, refocus," Queen said. "Just to be able to get your body right, your mind right, have a little time off to yourself." As the Steelers gear up for their upcoming game against the Washington Commanders, Queen acknowledges rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' impressive performance this season. Daniels has completed 163 of 228 pass attempts for 1,945 yards and nine touchdowns with just two interceptions. "I've got the utmost respect for that guy," Queen stated.

Cornerback Cameron Sutton has rejoined the active roster after missing eight games due to suspension. Sutton expressed his eagerness to return: "It's difficult being out, not doing what you love to do." During his absence, rookie Beanie Bishop stepped up with three interceptions in the starting nickel spot. Sutton praised Bishop's progress: "He's doing really well."

Sutton was drafted by the Steelers in 2017 and returned this June on a one-year contract. He noted that while there are differences in the defense since he last played with Pittsburgh, he's been staying ready during his suspension by attending meetings.

Beanie Bishop acknowledged the challenge of securing turnovers against Jayden Daniels and highlighted Sutton's versatility as an asset upon his return: "He obviously plays a lot of spots in the secondary."

Joey Porter Jr., another cornerback on the team, welcomed Sutton back as well: "He knows the defense really well, so we could plug him in anywhere we see fit."
