The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for their upcoming game against the New York Jets, with injuries affecting their lineup. The offensive line will be without rookie center Zach Frazier due to an ankle injury sustained in a previous game against the Raiders. Coach Tomlin has indicated that Frazier's injury is week-to-week and he does not expect him or linebacker Nick Herbig, who is dealing with a hamstring issue, to play this week.

In Frazier's absence, Ryan McCollum will step in as the starting center. McCollum, who has been on the Steelers' practice squad for two seasons, previously played 13 games for the Detroit Lions in 2021. "What I've seen from him in general, I've seen a high intensity guy who's a heck of a communicator," said Tomlin about McCollum.

Tomlin also addressed the ongoing challenges faced by the team's offensive line due to injuries. James Daniels, Troy Fautanu, and Nate Herbig have all been placed on the Injured/Reserve List. "We haven't had a healthy offensive line group at any component of this journey that is a 2024 season," stated Tomlin.

While some players are expected to miss the game against the Jets, there is hope for others to return. Tight end MyCole Pruitt participated fully in practice on Wednesday, while Alex Highsmith was limited. Running back Najee Harris did not practice due to a rib injury.

Quarterback Russell Wilson has been cleared from the injury report and is considered healthy by Tomlin. "At the quarterback position... I got comfortable with his ability to display his health," said Tomlin.

The full participation/injury report lists several key players as non-participants or limited in practice sessions leading up to Sunday's game.
