The Pittsburgh Steelers have made changes to their roster by adding linebackers Adetokunbo Ogundeji and Craig Young to the practice squad. Ogundeji, who was initially signed to the practice squad at the beginning of the season, had been promoted to the 53-man roster for the game against the Raiders but was released earlier this week. During his appearance in that game, he played 16 snaps and achieved a pass defense.
Ogundeji entered the NFL when he was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, he participated in 16 games and started in 11, accumulating 33 tackles, one sack, a pass defense, and a fumble recovery. The following year, he started all 16 games and recorded 42 tackles along with one sack. Unfortunately, a foot injury sidelined him for the entire 2023 season.
Craig Young joined as an undrafted free agent with the Indianapolis Colts after this year's draft. He played college football at Kansas University where he appeared in 26 games over two seasons. His college career statistics include 101 tackles—71 of which were solo—10.5 tackles for loss, eight passes defensed, six sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. Before transferring to Kansas University, Young spent three seasons at Ohio State University where he played in another set of 26 games.
