Pittsburgh Public Schools issued the following announcement on Sept. 15.
September 16, 2020, Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS) is providing in-person technology support for students and families that are having trouble navigating their E-Learning device. Families can visit the following five schools for technology assistance:
Pittsburgh CAPA- Fort Duquesne Boulevard Entrance, Downtown Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh Carrick- 125 Parkfield Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15210
Pittsburgh King- 50 Montgomery Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
Pittsburgh Langley- 2940 Sheraden Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15204
Pittsburgh Obama- 515 N. Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206
“These regional technology support hubs will assist families with their District-issued device needs,” said Mark Stuckey, Interim Chief Technology Officer. “We want all PPS families to have secure, functional devices for E-Learning.”
PPS encourages families to make an appointment, but walk-ins will be accepted. Families can schedule an appointment by visiting www.pghschools.org/techsupportappt. Families must please bring their District-issued device, charger, and student log in information to the appointment. Appointments are scheduled in 20-minute increments, and families are asked to arrive ten minutes prior to the scheduled appointment.
Technology Resource Centers will be open until Friday, October 2, 2020, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Evening hours are available through appointment only.
Families must practice social distancing and wear a mask during each appointment.
