Cost of college went up for all students at Carlow University

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Carlow University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $29,454 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $858 more than the $28,596 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 241 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5 million and 232 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,076), 1,161 students used grants or scholarships totaling $17.7 million, and 1,163 students took out $8.9 million in federal student loans.
