Cost of college went up for all students at Point Park University

Tuition and fees rose 4.4 percent for 2018-19 at Point Park University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Pennsylvania students paid $31,450 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,320 more than the $30,130 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 630 students received grants or scholarships totaling $13 million and 529 students took out student loans totaling more than $4.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (4,099), 2,874 students used grants or scholarships totaling $52.2 million, and 2,371 students took out $17.8 million in federal student loans.
