49 percent of applicants to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Shadyside School of Nursing were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Shadyside School of Nursing, 64 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 88 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in Pittsburgh enrolled 263 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

100 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (83 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 49 percent of the 43 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 100 percent enrolled.
