Running back Jaylen Warren has signed a one-year restricted free agent tender. Warren first joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent after the 2022 NFL Draft and has been part of the 53-man roster since then.
Over three seasons, Warren has participated in 48 games. He carried the ball 346 times for 1,674 yards at an average of 4.8 yards per carry, scoring six touchdowns. Additionally, he made 127 receptions totaling 894 yards, which translates to an average of 7.0 yards per reception.
In the 2024 season, Warren played in 15 games, with 120 carries yielding 511 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry, and scoring one touchdown. His most productive season came in 2023, with appearances in 17 games and career highs of 149 carries for 784 yards, a 5.3-yard average, and four touchdowns. He also had 61 receptions for 370 yards, both career highs, averaging 6.1 yards per reception.
In his debut season, Warren played backup to Najee Harris, amassing 379 yards on 77 carries with a 4.9-yard average and one touchdown in 16 games. He also had 28 receptions for 214 yards, averaging 7.6 yards per catch. One standout performance came in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens, where he achieved season highs of 12 carries for 76 yards.
Warren capped his college football stint at Oklahoma State, playing one season and earning the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year award from the league's head coaches. During that time, he executed 256 carries for 1,216 yards and 11 touchdowns. His college career also included two seasons at Utah State and a start at Snow College.
