Sidney Crosby and Noel Acciari have been recognized with the Pittsburgh Penguins' 2024-25 team awards. Crosby, in his 20th season with the team, has been named the Most Valuable Player for the fifth consecutive year. This marks his 13th MVP award, surpassing the previous record held by Mario Lemieux. Crosby leads the team in multiple categories, including assists, points, and game-winning goals. His performance includes securing his 20th consecutive season averaging at least one point per game, breaking Wayne Gretzky's previous record.

Crosby is notable for his leadership, both on and off the ice, as reflected by his selection for the Players' Player Award. This award is determined by player votes based on the teammate who exemplifies leadership. Crosby has now received this award seven times.

Meanwhile, forward Noel Acciari has been named the team's Unsung Hero, an award recognizing effort without much public acknowledgment. Acciari is a consistent presence on the ice, being one of three players who have participated in every game this season. He leads the team in hits and blocked shots and contributes significant time in shorthanded situations.

These awards highlight Crosby's profound impact and leadership within the franchise, as well as Acciari's consistent and commendable performance.
