Ilkin spent 13 seasons with the Steelers, during which he was named to two Pro Bowls in 1989 and 1990. Ilkin's contributions extended beyond the field; he was a prominent member of the Steelers radio broadcast team until his passing in 2021. Additionally, Ilkin was known for his commitment to the Pittsburgh community, particularly his work with the Light of Life Rescue Mission. In 2021, he was inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor.
Dr. James Bradley, the Steelers' head orthopedic surgeon for over 35 years, will also be inducted. Bradley's accolades include the Arthur C. Rettig Award for Academic Excellence, which recognizes excellence in research aimed at advancing health and player safety in the NFL. Furthermore, Bradley was honored with the Ralph C. Wilde Leadership Award by the Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation for his exceptional clinical care of patients.
In addition, former Steelers running back Merril Hoge will receive the William Campbell Award for his community involvement. Hoge is being recognized for his work with the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research. As a member of the foundation's board of directors, Hoge has demonstrated leadership and dedication to supporting player safety. The foundation will receive a $5,000 award in recognition of Hoge's efforts.
