Allegheny Health Network (AHN) has announced a significant relocation of its remote clinical workforce to Nova Place in Pittsburgh's North Side. The network has signed a 20-year lease for approximately 48,000 square feet in Tower 2 at Nova Place, with the move set to begin in 2026.
The new office space will accommodate up to 150 remote clinical employees initially, including digital nurses and teleICU clinicians who provide patient care through remote monitoring technologies. The site will also host non-clinical staff from revenue cycle and real estate services, as well as some clinical administration roles. In total, about 200 AHN employees will be based at Nova Place.
Brian Devine, chief financial officer of AHN, commented on the move: “We are excited to be moving some of our team members to the thriving Nova Place campus, joining Innovation Works, the Pittsburgh Technology Council, Duquesne Light, and many others in the technology, health care and robotics sectors.” He added that this transition reflects AHN’s commitment to adapting its operational strategy and efficiently managing its real estate portfolio.
Previously housed at 4 Allegheny Center (4AC), which accommodated around 1,200 employees pre-pandemic across various fields within about 200,000 square feet of office space, AHN's need for leased space has decreased due to more flexible work arrangements post-pandemic. The lease for 4AC is set to expire in 2026.
Employees not transitioning to Nova Place will be relocated to other offices such as AHN’s corporate headquarters at Fifth Avenue Place. Across Western Pennsylvania, AHN employs roughly 24,000 individuals.
Devine emphasized the benefits of the new location: “Nova Place is an excellent fit for our remote workers and support employees, as it provides access to public transportation and parking, meets the infrastructure needs of our growing digital health and monitoring programs.”
Nova Place is owned by Faros Properties based in New York City.
