Linebacker Patrick Queen has been named to the Pro Bowl Games, stepping in as a replacement for Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith. Queen joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as an unrestricted free agent during the 2024 offseason and started all 17 games and the Wild Card game at inside linebacker.
In his first season with the Steelers, Queen recorded a team-high 129 tackles, ranking fifth-most in a season by a Steelers defender since 1994. He also achieved seven passes defensed, six tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one sack, and one fumble recovery. Notably, he was the only NFL defender in 2024 to record over 125 tackles along with six or more tackles for loss and seven or more passes defensed.
Queen's career spans five seasons with his first four years spent with the Ravens. Over this period, he has accumulated 582 tackles, including 361 solo stops, alongside other defensive stats such as 43 tackles for loss and four interceptions.
Queen joins fellow Steelers Chris Boswell, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cameron Heyward, T.J. Watt (who will not participate due to injury), Miles Killebrew, Isaac Seumalo, and Russell Wilson at the Pro Bowl Games. Additionally, Darrel Young from the Steelers' staff has been appointed to serve on the AFC staff.
The Pro Bowl Games have replaced the traditional Pro Bowl game format. The event will include various skills challenges culminating in an AFC vs. NFC Flag Game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on February 2.
Scheduled activities include several skill-based competitions like "Passing The Test," "Satisfying Catches presented by SNICKERS," "Relay Race," "Helmet Harmony," and "Dodgeball presented by Bud Light" on January 30th. The events continue on February 2nd with "Punt Perfect," "The Great Football Race," and "Tug-of-War."
