The City of Pittsburgh is set to host the 2026 NFL Draft, with the dates confirmed for April 23-25. The announcement was made by the NFL and VisitPittsburgh, marking a significant event for the city known as the "City of Champions."
Jerad Bachar, President & CEO of VisitPITTSBURGH, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the draft: "This is a monumental step forward in bringing the 2026 NFL Draft to life right here in the City of Champions." He emphasized collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure it becomes one of Pittsburgh's most memorable events.
The decision for Pittsburgh to host was officially announced during the NFL Spring League Meeting in May. Steelers President Art Rooney II highlighted this opportunity: "The 2026 NFL Draft is an opportunity to celebrate football and Pittsburgh's unique place in the history of the game."
Activities related to the draft are planned for Pittsburgh's North Shore, including Acrisure Stadium and Point State Park. These will feature events like the NFL Draft Experience, a free fan festival with exhibits, games, and musical performances.
Peter O'Reilly, NFL executive vice president of club business, league events and international stated: "As we move closer to the 2026 NFL Draft, we're working closely with VisitPITTSBURGH, the Pittsburgh Steelers and all our partners on the ground to ensure local and visiting fans will enjoy an unforgettable event."
