AHN has announced its decision to consolidate two GI endoscopy facilities located on the North Side. The healthcare network will move colonoscopy and other endoscopic services from the North Shore Endoscopy Center at 1307 Federal Street to the AHN Center for Advanced Endoscopy at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH). This facility is approximately three blocks away.

The AGH gastroenterology lab, which began operations in 2019, features advanced technology for diagnosing and treating digestive system disorders. It includes 18 pre- and post-procedure bays, six procedure rooms, and a team of experienced gastroenterologists, endoscopists, surgeons, and nurses.

The consolidation process is anticipated to be finalized by the end of January 2025.
