The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to host the Kansas City Chiefs at Acrisure Stadium in a Christmas Day matchup. Both teams face the challenge of preparing on a short week.

Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid expressed his anticipation for the game, stating, "Look forward to the challenge of playing Pittsburgh. Good football team." He praised Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin, noting, "Mike does a heck of a job there with his group and he's got good coaches, good coordinators and good players so that's why they're doing well this year."

Reid also reflected on past encounters with Tomlin's teams: "I used to play him every year – at least when I was in Philadelphia. His teams are tough, they're well coached and they're going to play hard every snap."

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared insights into his preparation process: "Right after I left the building, I was already getting pictures and videos sent to me from the coaches... This is a great defense and so for us, we're going to have to play our best football to beat this team."

Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo discussed the challenges posed by Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson: "We know what he's been all about; he's all about making big plays... We have to be on point back there."

Linebacker Nick Bolton highlighted Pittsburgh's offensive strategy: "What stands out about Pittsburgh is they do a lot of different things. They use tight ends. They get big when they run the football."

Mahomes also reminisced about playing at Acrisure Stadium: "It's one of those true football stadiums... It's pretty cool, it's right on the river... It'll be a great challenge for us and it's going to feel as much like playoff football as you can possibly get."
