The NFL is witnessing the rise of George Pickens, a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Over the past three games, Pickens has recorded 14 receptions for 276 yards and two touchdowns. This performance suggests he could achieve 79 receptions for 1,564 yards and 11 touchdowns over a full season. Currently, he is on track to catch 75 passes for 1,207 yards and four touchdowns. He leads the league with 11 receptions on passes of at least 20 yards downfield.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin praised Pickens: "He's just a very talented guy," highlighting his unique body control and coordination.

The Steelers face an easier schedule in terms of pass defenses in the second half of the season, starting with the Baltimore Ravens, who rank last in pass defense. Despite their strong run defense, Tomlin noted that circumstances have contributed to their low ranking against the pass.

Tomlin's decision to reinstate Russell Wilson as starting quarterback after Justin Fields led the team to a strong start has not affected team dynamics. Fields expressed understanding and maturity regarding this decision: "We just want to win."

Wilson is set to surpass Drew Bledsoe in all-time passing yardage and tie with Fran Tarkenton in touchdown passes if he performs well against the Ravens. Sunday's game will feature two top-rated quarterbacks by passer rating.

In other news, Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has faced penalties but remains a key player. Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin expressed confidence in Porter's ability to bounce back from recent issues.

The Steelers remain Lamar Jackson's toughest opponent, as he has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns against them throughout his career.
