The Pittsburgh Penguins will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night on November 19, when they face the Tampa Bay Lightning at PPG Paints Arena. The event, sponsored by UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, is part of a league-wide initiative to support the NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer program.

The first 7,500 attendees will receive a “Join the Fight” Baseball Cap courtesy of UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Fans can purchase tickets through ticketmaster.com/penguins and a special package including a game ticket and a Penguins-branded Hockey Fights Cancer shirt is also available.

During the event, autographed pucks from current players and warmup pucks used pregame will be sold behind Section 104, with proceeds benefiting cancer programs at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Warmup puck sales commence at the start of the first intermission. Support cards for the NHL’s “I Fight For” campaign will also be accessible to fans in this area.

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation will conduct an auction related to Hockey Fights Cancer from November 19 at noon until November 25 at noon.

Throughout the game, individuals affected by cancer will be recognized during various segments such as the Military Salute, National Anthem, and Fanboni between periods. A special moment includes a local youth ringing a commemorative bell in honor of Hockey Fights Cancer.

So Many Angels plans to reveal posters featuring three young fans battling cancer from UPMC Children’s Hospital. Families associated with So Many Angels are invited guests in the Crosby Charity Suite. Meanwhile, UPMC will host cancer patients and survivors in their suite for the match.

Penguins players are participating in ‘Movember’ by growing mustaches throughout November to promote awareness and funding for prostate cancer research programs. Fans can contribute donations online to support their favorite player's efforts.

Tickets for this game along with all other home games are available via pittsburghpenguins.com.

Routine screenings are essential for cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment information is available online.
