Calvin Austin III, a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been named the Steelers Digest Player of the Week following an impressive performance against the New York Giants. In a game held at Acrisure Stadium, Austin delivered a pivotal 73-yard punt return for a touchdown that broke a 9-9 tie in the third quarter. He further contributed with a 29-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter, helping secure a 26-18 victory for his team.

Austin's performance included three catches totaling 54 yards and marked his first career game with two touchdowns. His efforts were crucial in establishing a 23-9 lead for the Steelers.

Other players considered for the honor included outside linebacker T.J. Watt, who recorded seven tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. His strip-sack-recovery play came with three minutes left on the clock as the Steelers protected their lead. Additionally, outside linebacker Alex Highsmith made four tackles and two sacks while hitting the quarterback six times.

Running back Najee Harris also stood out by rushing for 114 yards on 19 carries and catching three passes for 17 yards. Quarterback Russell Wilson completed 20 of his 28 passes (71.4 percent) for 278 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, achieving a passer rating of 114.9. Cornerback Beanie Bishop made five tackles and secured an interception with just 34 seconds remaining to help seal the victory.
