Coach Mike Tomlin announced that quarterback Russell Wilson is expected to be active as the No. 2 quarterback for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Justin Fields will start for the sixth consecutive time for the team.

Wilson has been inactive this season due to a calf injury, serving as the No. 3 or emergency quarterback in previous games. "He's probably going to be active as the No. 2 quarterback," Tomlin stated. "I like what I've seen out here. Again, health and rust are two different things. I thought he had a good week displaying his health, his ability to protect himself. Now it's just a process of getting re-acclimated to the ball."

Throughout the week, Wilson participated fully in practice and expressed progress in his recovery. "I was able to do a lot more this week," Wilson said. "It was exciting to get back out there and be a full participant and do everything, all the reps and everything else."

When asked about his expectations for Sunday, Wilson did not provide a specific answer but emphasized preparation: "That's a big question," he said. "I'm preparing my mind to get ready to go and everything else, so that's kind of my mentality and help us win and whatever that is."

In other team news, running back Jaylen Warren returned as a full participant in Friday's practice after missing two games with an ankle injury. He is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Raiders. Tomlin commented on Warren's status: "He was a full participant today," said Tomlin. "Good trajectory on the upswing. Feeling optimistic about his inclusion, he's listed as questionable."
