The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to face the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday, both teams seeking to recover from recent losses. The Steelers have lost their last two games, while the Raiders aim to rebound from a defeat by the Denver Broncos.

In an attempt to energize his team, Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce has decided to start Adian O'Connell at quarterback, replacing Gardner Minshew who started the first five games. O'Connell has completed 19 of 32 passes for 176 yards with one touchdown and one interception in his appearances this season. "It was my decision," said Pierce about the change. "That's just what I felt was best for the offense going forward."

Discussion in Las Vegas has focused on the quarterback position, but attention is also being paid to Steelers players Justin Fields, Russell Wilson, and T.J. Watt.

Coach Pierce commented on preparing for a team with multiple quarterbacks: "I think well one, the good part, we've went up against Russell (Wilson) a few times now. We're familiar with him as well." Defensive tackle Adam Butler noted, "Every week is unique. Whatever they do, we have to be prepared for it."

Tackle D.J. Glaze spoke about facing the Steelers: "The coaches did a good job of the plan that they put in." Defensive coordinator Patrick Graham emphasized preparation: "It's our job to be prepared for all scenarios."

Pierce mentioned using offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and others familiar with the Steelers for insights: "Our staff did that right away." Quarterback Adian O'Connell praised the Steelers defense: "Obviously they're a great defense, great team."

Butler discussed strategies against mobile quarterbacks like Fields: "Just play smart football." Graham elaborated on Fields' challenges: "You see him at the line of scrimmage... he has a big arm and his ability to make plays when people are around him."

Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy shared his thoughts on Fields: "Justin is an incredible guy... he's going to bring it every single play." Pierce expressed respect for Coach Mike Tomlin's success: "He's winning. He just wins."

Getsy confirmed providing defensive information on Fields when needed: "...those guys are professionals... you're there to help them out." Glaze anticipated facing T.J. Watt: "Great player. Great rusher."

Graham highlighted Najee Harris as part of the Steelers' run-first identity: "There has to be a plan... For a man of his size, a man of his production..."
