The Pittsburgh Steelers have focused on strengthening their offensive line by selecting offensive tackles Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu in the first round of the last two NFL Drafts. However, Dan Moore Jr. has maintained his position as the starting left tackle, showcasing consistent performance over the years.

Moore ranks 18th among qualified offensive tackles according to Pro Football Focus (PFF), despite some criticism of PFF's grading system. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin praised Moore, stating, "Dan is never moved by what's going on around him. There's a maturity to his approach to business."

Throughout this season, the Steelers have experimented with four different offensive line combinations in five games. Despite these changes, Moore has been a constant presence alongside rookie center Zach Frazier. Left guard Isaac Seumalo commended Moore's professionalism and improvement: "I think he's playing the best football of his life."

Frazier also received recognition for his performance, ranking fourth among NFL centers per PFF with a grade of 81.8. He stands out as one of the top rookies from the 2024 Draft Class.

The NFL's new "Dynamic Kickoff" rules have not significantly increased kickoff returns for the Steelers this season. With primary kick returners Cordarrelle Patterson and Jaylen Warren sidelined recently, Aaron Shampklin stepped in and averaged 25.3 yards per return against the Cowboys.

This Sunday’s game at Las Vegas will feature an intriguing matchup between Steelers right tackle Broderick Jones and Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.

Close games have been a theme for both the Steelers and across the league this season. The team has experienced four games decided by eight points or less out of their first five matches.
