The Pittsburgh Steelers experienced their second consecutive loss of the 2024 regular season, falling to the Dallas Cowboys with a close score of 20-17. The game concluded dramatically with a touchdown pass from Dak Prescott just 15 seconds before the end, disappointing most of the 67,380 spectators at Acrisure Stadium.

Despite the loss, it was a significant night for T.J. Watt, who stood out as the team's top performer. Watt's performance included eight tackles, one tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. His sacks in this game brought his career total to 101. This achievement made him the second-fastest player since 1982 to reach 100 career sacks in just 109 games. Reggie White holds the record for achieving this milestone in only 96 games.

Furthermore, Watt ranks third in NFL history for accumulating 101 sacks before turning 30 years old. The only players ahead of him are Reggie White with 108 and Jared Allen with 105 sacks. T.J. Watt is set to celebrate his 30th birthday on October 11.

In recognition of his remarkable performance, T.J. Watt has been named the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Other notable performances considered for this honor included cornerback Joey Porter Jr., who recorded four tackles and one interception; quarterback Justin Fields, who completed 15-of-27 passes (55.6 percent) for a total of 131 yards and two touchdowns without any interceptions, resulting in a passer rating of 93.3 while also rushing for an additional 27 yards on six carries (4.5 average); and Donte Jackson, who also finished with four tackles and one interception.
