The Pittsburgh Steelers faced the Dallas Cowboys at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night in a game that was marked by severe weather delays and intense moments. Despite T.J. Watt achieving a milestone of 100 career sacks, the Steelers were unable to secure a victory. The Cowboys clinched a 20-17 win with a late touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to Jalen Tolbert.

Dallas had previously been stopped three times inside Pittsburgh's 20-yard line but managed to score on their fourth attempt with just 20 seconds left in the game. "There's a fine line between drinking wine and squashing grapes in our business, and that's an example of it," commented Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin about the critical play.

Steelers safety DeShon Elliott took responsibility for the final touchdown, saying, "That's on me... I gave up the touchdown." The loss marks Pittsburgh's second consecutive defeat after starting the season with three wins.

Prescott completed 29 of his 42 passes for 352 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions as Dallas improved their record to 3-2. Meanwhile, Justin Fields threw two touchdown passes for Pittsburgh but struggled with third-down conversions throughout the game.

The Steelers' defense initially held strong, forcing turnovers and limiting Dallas' scoring opportunities. However, they could not maintain their lead in the final minutes. Coach Tomlin acknowledged his team's efforts but pointed out areas needing improvement: "I thought we started slow offensively... I didn't think we were as connected as we should have been defensively."

Despite being outgained by Dallas in total yards and first downs, Pittsburgh had moments of promise but ultimately fell short against their opponent.
