LATROBE, Pa. – Let's get to it:

TOM MIHALIC FROM SUFFOLK, VA: Assuming all three Wilsons, Russell, Roman, and Payton make the 53-man roster, just curious how you see the names on the backs of their jerseys printed?

ANSWER: Barring something unforeseen, Russell Wilson, Roman Wilson, and Payton Wilson will be on the 53-man roster when final cuts must be made by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27. And because there is no NFL rule mandating teams to differentiate players with the same surname on the back of the uniform, I fully expect the jerseys that Russell, Roman, and Payton wear on game days will have "Wilson" on the back. Remember, those jerseys also will have the player's number on the front and back – in white when the jersey is black and in black when the jersey is white – so there should be no confusion as to which Wilson it is.

PAT FLYNN FROM OAKDALE, PA: From their respective Scouting Combines, Ryan Shazier and Payton Wilson posted similar measurables. Ryan was named a starter and had 5 starts in 2014. Are the Steelers in a similar situation where Payton Wilson will be pressed into service early? Do you see Payton starting any games this year?

ANSWER: Starting jobs have nothing to do with results from the Scouting Combine. Decisions on playing time have more to do with performance during training camp and preseason, existing talent on the depth chart at that position, and whether injuries become a factor. When the Steelers spent a first-round pick on Ryan Shazier in the 2014 NFL Draft, they had been looking for an all-situations inside linebacker to combat what offenses were doing to create bad matchups for defense. In 2013, Lawrence Timmons and Vince Williams were starting inside linebackers but not as adept in coverage as needed. The Steelers initially moved for a "coverage" inside linebacker by selecting Sean Spence in 2012's third round draft but he suffered a serious knee injury during preseason requiring season-ending surgery. The following year Spence still wasn't at full capacity leading him onto physically unable to perform list then injured reserve for another season. If Spence hadn't missed two seasons after being drafted maybe they wouldn't use No.1 selection on Shazier; however that's conjecture now.

Payton Wilson joins a team with proven NFL starters Patrick Queen and Elandon Roberts capable of filling roles as all-situations inside linebackers so unless circumstances change due either performance issues or injuries arise necessitating his presence within sub-package defenses - it’s unlikely he'll start games like Shazier did.

TOM NAYPAUER FROM CLEVELAND HEIGHTS OH: Has there been any "Hard Knocks" crew at training camp? I know they air later in season but imagine they might be around background etc.

ANSWER: On Tuesday Aug.,6th “Hard Knocks” debuted series focusing Chicago Bears so their crew presumably engaged elsewhere thus far absent Saint Vincent College campus presence.

TOM NICHOLSON FROM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE CA: Do you access list voters 2023 NFL Defensive Player Year Award who voted think fans interested knowing how got wrong?

ANSWER: Winner decided panel fifty Associated Press sportswriters whose individual votes remain confidential ensuring secret ballot integrity amid interest maintaining anonymity among participants involved.

DAVID BRUBAKER FROM MERRITT ISLAND FL :When final roster cuts made notify players making team ?

ANSWER :NFL teams reduce rosters down fifty-three players by deadline set Tuesday August twenty-seventh four pm EDT whereby typically no news good news meaning silence post-deadline signifies successful retention whereas waived/released personnel receive notifications accordingly .

TONY PATRICK POLAND OH : Attended Friday Night Lights fourth occasion girlfriend loved noticing Ryan Shazier signing autographs helping drills practice wondering part coaching staff having seen videos involvement though unsure status alumnus helping out ?

ANSWER :Currently not member official coaching staff yet Coach Mike Tomlin encourages former player participation during training camps believing experienced alumni embody core values necessary sustaining organizational ethos alongside imparting vital mentorship newer recruits aspiring emulate predecessors’ success trajectory .
