LATROBE, Pa. – Yesterday's schedule featured a practice in pads, while tomorrow's agenda includes the preseason opener at 7 p.m. against Houston at Acrisure Stadium. Consequently, Thursday morning at Saint Vincent College saw a walk-through session.

This walk-through involved no pads, only helmets, and excluded competitive periods such as 7-Shots. Special teams periods included simulated snaps and kicks. Nothing was conducted at full speed, and Coach Mike Tomlin did not address the media post-session.

During the first 11-on-11 session, the offensive line was configured from left to right as Dan Moore Jr., Isaac Seumalo, Nate Herbig, James Daniels, and Broderick Jones. Spencer Anderson replaced Seumalo after a few snaps.

The No. 2 offensive line configuration was Dylan Cook, Mason McCormick, Zach Frazier, Spencer Anderson, and Troy Fautanu.

NOTES & OBSERVATIONS

• Russell Wilson took the initial offensive snaps of the practice with George Pickens, Van Jefferson, and Calvin Austin III as wide receivers.

• The defense deployed Joey Porter Jr. and Donte Jackson at cornerback; Minkah Fitzpatrick and DeShon Elliott at safety; Beanie Bishop played nickel.

• Cordarrelle Patterson continued his recovery from a hamstring issue by running on a side field while the team practiced.

• Cam Heyward and T.J. Watt maintained their conditioning by running sprints on a side field.

• Payton Wilson provided a standout moment when he deflected a pass intended for a receiver near the sideline during an inside linebacker alignment.
