SCI Mentorship Program on August 1, 2022

SCI MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The SCI Alumni Board is currently recruiting mentors and mentees for the SCI Mentorship Program to help students build networks with SCI alumni in the fields of computing and information.

This program created by the SCI Alumni Board has two primary goals:  

  • SCI students will be enabled to receive career guidance and opportunity insights from computing and information professionals.  SCI Alumni have an opportunity to give back to SCI while also potentially identifying future employment opportunities for a mentee within their organizations.
  • All undergraduate students who wish to apply are welcome. Both students and mentors will be matched based on student-identified criteria centered on helping students be successful in both their academic and professional careers.
Here are the steps to follow for signing up as a mentor and mentee:

 Mentors:

  • Access the Pitt Commons platform at https://commons.pitt.edu
  • If you haven’t already done so, register using your LinkedIn or Pitt Login
  • Click on the Mentoring Programs tab and access the School of Computing and Information Mentoring Program
  • Join the program!
Students:

  • Go to Pitt Commons at https://commons.pitt.edu
  • Register using your LinkedIn or Pitt Login
  • Find the Mentoring Programs tab and select the School of Computing and Information Mentoring Program
  • Join the program!
Monday, August 1 at 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
