University of Pittsburgh recently issued the following announcement.

The Pitt Farmers Market returns with three dates in spring 2022! The Pitt Farmer’s Markets take place select Thursdays from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm in the William Pitt Union Plaza.

- Le's Oriental
- The Pie Place
- Smokeland BBQ
- Victory Farms
- And more!
Do not forget to bring your reusable bag! All Pitt Farmer’s Markets aspire to be zero-waste, working closely with vendors to ensure this mission. Vendors are required to serve meals in compostable containers, prohibited from using disposable single-use plastic bags, and all leftover food that cannot be reused is recovered for food donation by the Food Recovery Heroes.
Composting drop-off service is available to the public. Attendees are welcome to bring compostable items from their dorm room, office, or home to the market to drop-off at a staffed compost drop-off station. Learn more about what is accepted in campus compost here.
