87 percent of applicants to Carlow University were admitted for fall 2018

At Carlow University, 72 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 82 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Pittsburgh enrolled 2,076 students in fall 2018, including 1,333 in undergraduate and 743 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 6 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (17 percent).

The school admitted 87 percent of the 898 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 32 percent enrolled.
