Steelers sign safety Juan Thornhill to a one-year contract

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed safety Juan Thornhill to a one-year contract. Thornhill, who is entering his eighth season in the NFL, has played in 87 games, starting 74 of them. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 335 tackles, with 232 being solo stops. He also boasts eight interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown during his rookie year.

Thornhill spent the previous two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. During his time there, he appeared in 22 games and started each one. He recorded 102 tackles, including 72 solo stops.

Originally drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Thornhill played four seasons with them. He participated in 65 games and started 52 of those matches. While with the Chiefs, he achieved eight interceptions and was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams.

Thornhill's college career at Virginia saw him playing in 46 games and starting in 36. His college stats include 208 tackles and 13 interceptions.
