The Steelers have added defensive back C.J. Henderson to their practice squad. Henderson, initially drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, has participated in 49 games, starting 32 of them. His career stats include 172 tackles (139 solo), 16 passes defensed, six tackles for a loss, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one sack and fumble recovery.

In his rookie year with the Jaguars in 2020, Henderson played eight games as a starter before being placed on the Reserve/Injured List. That season he tallied 36 tackles (27 solo), six passes defensed, one interception, and one forced fumble.

Henderson was traded to the Carolina Panthers early in the 2021 season and remained with them until 2023. During his last season with Carolina, he appeared in 12 games and started seven of them. He ended that season with 39 tackles (31 solo) and three tackles for a loss. In 2024, he signed with the Houston Texans.

Henderson's college career at the University of Florida saw him playing in 33 games where he accumulated a total of 93 tackles (66 solo), six interceptions, 28 passes defensed, four sacks, and eight tackles for a loss.
