On August 18, 2024, several questions were addressed regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers and their history.

Nick Mitchell from Glen-Lyon, PA inquired about Donnie Shell's famous hit on Earl Campbell and its impact on Shell's Hall of Fame induction. The response confirmed the memorable nature of the hit but emphasized that Shell's 51 interceptions were more significant for his Hall of Fame credentials. It was noted that fans could find footage of the hit online, and Shell's character off the field was also praised.

Lenny Cimadomo from Wilmington, NC questioned why the Steelers often switch player positions, particularly referencing Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones. The answer clarified that such moves aim to create position flexibility and are common in the NFL.

William Schneider from Tewksbury, MA asked if it was true that the Steelers once practiced at South Park fairgrounds. The reply confirmed this practice before Three Rivers Stadium opened in 1970.

Daniel Dunmyer from Morgantown, WV sought opinions on whether the NFL would make a new kickoff rule permanent. The response highlighted that it was too early to tell as no regular season games had occurred yet under the new rule.

Andy Baldonado from Anna, OH asked if onside kicks were still possible under new rules. It was confirmed they are permitted only in the fourth quarter with specific conditions outlined.

JA McCullough from Maumee, OH wanted to know who was the best Steelers player acquired from the Cleveland Browns. Joe Haden was identified as such a player, though it was noted he joined after being cut by the Browns rather than through a trade.

Keith Miller from Canton, NC queried if there were other options besides waiting for a call from the 49ers regarding potential trades. It was suggested that Plan B might involve playing with current team members.

Richard Snyder from San Pedro, CA asked about previous training camp locations before Saint Vincent College became their permanent site in 1967. A detailed list of past locations dating back to 1933 was provided.

Roberto Spinelli from Scottsdale, AZ requested details on Antonio Brown’s contracts with the Steelers amid talks about Brandon Aiyuk’s potential trade. Information about Brown’s contracts spanning his career with Pittsburgh was shared.

Stephen Cuprzynski from Cockeysville, MD compared Chuck Noll’s coaching staff in 1969 to Mike Tomlin’s current staff. Noll had no coordinators and a smaller team of assistants compared to Tomlin's extensive staff today which includes multiple coordinators and specialized coaches.
