PEDIATRIC GRAND ROUNDS: GENDER EQUITY IN PEDIATRICS: WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE NEED TO GO

Annual Gaffney Lecture

Jessica M. Allan, MD

During this interactive session, we will review the benefits of gender equity and discuss the timeliness of working towards gender equity in medicine. Participants will gain an understanding of current gender disparities around compensation, leadership, and career development in the field of Pediatrics. Important individual and institutional strategies to promote gender equity will be discussed and participants will commit to two actions that will encourage gender equity in their workplaces.
