U.S. Representative Summer Lee, who serves Pennsylvania’s 12th district, posted a series of tweets on March 18 and 19, 2026, addressing concerns about accountability and legal procedures involving Pam Bondi and Chairman Comer.
On March 18, Lee wrote, “We need to hear from Pam Bondi under oath so that at least if she lies to our faces again it’s taken seriously and considered a crime.” The following day, she commented on Chairman Comer’s remarks by stating, “If Comer wants to say I’m bitching, he can do it in a sworn deposition where it’s recorded and transcribed.”
In another post later that day, Lee added: “Asking the chairman a legitimate question about whether he’ll hold Bondi accountable if she refuses to comply with a legal subpoena isn’t complaining, it’s doing my job. But if that’s his standard it’s no wonder there hasn’t been any real accountability.”
Summer Lee has represented Pennsylvania’s 12th district in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Mike Doyle. She previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and currently residing in Swissvale, Lee holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University and a JD from Howard University.
