U.S. Representative Summer Lee, who serves Pennsylvania’s 12th district, recently highlighted federal funding for local infrastructure and community engagement efforts in a series of posts on her official social media account.

The following day, she reported visiting a key infrastructure site: “I visited the Versailles Avenue Viaduct site in McKeesport to celebrate over $10 million in federal funding my team and I advocated for—including nearly $1 million in community project funding. Over 4,100 vehicles used the bridge daily prior to its closure in 2022, even as it https://t.co/pviqEvboXM” (April 3, 2026).

Summer Lee has served as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 12th district since replacing Mike Doyle in 2023. She previously represented her area in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 through 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and residing in Swissvale, Lee earned her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and a law degree from Howard University.
