U.S. Representative Summer Lee, who serves Pennsylvania’s 12th district, used her social media platform to voice concerns about law enforcement actions and campaign finance in recent days.

On January 24, 2026, Lee posted a statement on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “Federal agents are executing Americans in the streets. None of us are safe in a police state. Abolish ICE.”

Two days later, on January 25, she responded to what she described as misinformation regarding an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stating: “This is a flat out lie. They want us to ignore and question what we see with our own eyes. Alex Pretti was supporting his community and protecting his neighbors when ICE murdered him.”

On January 26, Lee shifted focus to political reform, highlighting her position on money in politics: “For too long, big money in politics has overshadowed our democracy and drowned out our voices. Summer Lee has represented Pennsylvania’s 12th congressional district since 2023 after succeeding Mike Doyle. She previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and currently residing in Swissvale, Lee holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University and a JD from Howard University.
