U.S. Representative Summer Lee, who serves Pennsylvania’s 12th district, has used her social media platform to address a range of issues including the release of Epstein-related files, federal education funding, and the role of the U.S. Postal Service.
On July 25, 2025, Lee posted about Ghislaine Maxwell’s credibility and called for transparency from the Department of Justice: “Ghislaine Maxwell has previously been charged with lying under oath. It’s clear she cannot be trusted.
What’s to stop her from lying again to protect Trump or other powerful people to get a pardon?
The DOJ must release the Epstein files immediately.”
Later that same day, Lee addressed federal education funding and criticized actions taken by the Trump administration: “After lawsuits, public outrage, and relentless organizing, the Trump admin is finally releasing billions in education funding.
These funds should’ve never been withheld. They belong to our students and schools—not Trump’s petty political games.”
On July 26, 2025, Lee commented on the United States Postal Service’s anniversary and warned against privatization: “The @USPS reaches countless addresses and keeps folks connected no matter their zip code. That includes things like delivered medication and benefit checks.
To privatize it means slower mail, higher prices, and abandoned neighbors.
On its 250th anniversary, I am recommitting”
Summer Lee has represented Pennsylvania’s 12th district in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Mike Doyle. She previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987 and currently residing in Swissvale at age 35, Lee holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University (2009) and a JD from Howard University (2015).
