U.S. Representative Summer Lee, who serves Pennsylvania’s 12th district, addressed concerns over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enforcement activities in a series of tweets posted on February 7, 2026.
In her first post, Lee wrote: “As ICE ramps up enforcement efforts across the country, one way to keep yourself and your neighbors safe is to know your rights. If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office.” The tweet was accompanied by a link for additional resources.
A subsequent tweet posted at nearly the same time included only a link: “https://t.co/fnQtDiIWkT”.
Later that day, Lee posted another statement addressing longstanding issues related to ICE: “ICE’s abuse isn’t new. Black and brown folks have been raising the alarm for decades about state-sanctioned violence by law enforcement. What we need now is to actually dismantle those systems.”
Lee has represented Pennsylvania’s 12th district in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Mike Doyle. She previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022 and holds degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Howard University. Born in Pittsburgh in 1987, Lee resides in Swissvale.
